  • The community

    Our community members are most active on Discord, and also on Reddit and Twitter. One of our goals is to show the wider world how easy, fast, fun and cheap it is to transact on Algorand. Through NFT sales, we have already donated thousands of dollars to dog charities. We also share memes, fun and thoughts from daily live. Our dime time wallet is a charity wallet that will be unlocked when Akita Inu hits 0.10 dollar. We have our own discord tipbot, and there is an exclusive wallet-verified holders channel for those who own 100k tokens or an NFT.

  • The token

    Akita Inu was created in October 2021. It has a fully distributed supply of 1 billion tokens. In January 2022, there was an upgrade to allow for fractional tokens.  In August 2022, the founder Ryan handed over control of the project and community wallets to @Krby, who continued to build. We believe that Algorand is a technically superior blockchain poised for longterm success. Having a community token helps people to discover it in a playful way!

  • The NFT collection

    In early 2022, the Akita Kennel Club was released. It is a collection of 1000 NFTs, drawn by our artist @Algoo. Over at NFTexplorer , you can check the current activity and listings. A V2 collection is under development. Moreover, you can stake your NFTs and tokens in our new staking app!

You can buy Algo at your favourite centralized exchange and then send it to your wallet. Or buy it directly from within the wallet environment.
